The multi-millionaire couple spends nearly $200,000 a year on surrogates and currently employs 16 nannies to help take care of the children.
Kristina Ozturk, 23, met millionaire husband Galip Ozturk, 57, during a trip to the Republic of Georgia, where the businessman moved after leaving his home country of Turkey.
A year ago, the couple decided to have a baby and after spending £138,000 (more than $195,000) hiring a surrogate, the family size has grown rapidly and they now have 21 children, including a daughter. Kristina’s own.
The couple have to hire 16 nannies to care for their children at a cost of £67,700 ($96,000) a year.
When Kristina, from Russia, met Mr. Galip, who was once married at the time, they both shared the dream of having a large family. The young woman now spends all her time with her children and “does all the things mothers do”.
Galip and Kristina – who have daughter Victoria, 6 – welcomed their first child by hiring a surrogate baby boy named Mustafa last March. They then spent $11,000 each to hire a surrogate mother and child, and now 20 of their children are between the ages of 4 and 14 months.
The millionaire family, who now lives in a three-story mansion, uses up 20 large diaper bags and 53 cans of powdered milk a week.
“Every week, my wife and I spend about $5,000 to $6,000 on shopping for essentials for the children, sometimes more, sometimes less,” Kristina told Sun.
Kristina said her 6-year-old daughter is delighted and enjoys playing with the children, feeding them or reading them stories.
Kristina said she does not currently plan to have more children by hiring a surrogate in the future, but does not rule out having more children through natural methods.
“I’m also planning to get pregnant, but not now, because right now I need to be very close to my kids. It’s going to be very difficult to be a mother of 21 when you’re pregnant,” Kristina said.
Kristina said that her current life is never boring because she is always busy taking care of her children. Usually, the kids go to bed from 8pm to 6am the next morning, while Kristina wakes up at 7am. The young mother says she doesn’t get enough sleep, but to her it’s not a big deal when she’s decided to have a large family.
Her husband, Galip, regularly shares family photos on Instagram to his 213,000 followers. This businessman works in the fields of tourism, transportation and finance. He is from Türkiye but has lived in the Republic of Georgia since 2013, according to Forbes.
Galip is the founder of Metro Holding and currently has a $500 million investment in Georgia.
