Ranger, a one-and-a-half-year-old Corgi, pleasantly surprised his owners after making an appearence in every single image that was captured during her ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ ʙɪʀᴛʜ with daughter, Berkeley. When a family welcomes a newborn, it’s beautiful to watch mom, dad, siblings, and other loved ones bond with the baby. A sweet story out of Texas ᴘʀᴏᴠᴇs that a beloved dog can be just as much an integral part of a ʙɪʀᴛʜ ᴇxᴘᴇʀɪᴇɴᴄᴇ as any other family member. In this case, a sweet corgi puppy named Ranger became something of a ᴅᴏɢɢʏ ᴅᴏᴜʟᴀ!
Brooke Ellington, 35, ᴇɴʀᴏʟʟᴇᴅ the help of family and newborn photographer Kristin Water to document her daughter’s birth on June 29th at home in Midland, Texas, USA. It wasn’t until she received the gallery back that she realised her white and ginger furred pup was featured in every single image and no further than an arms lengths away. Four months after the birth, the affectionate Corgi is ᴍᴇsᴍᴇʀɪsᴇᴅ by his new baby buddy and remains by her side at all times, often ᴘʀᴏᴠɪᴅɪɴɢ ᴋɪssᴇs in the form of ᴅᴏɢ ʟɪᴄᴋs. The mom-of-three said: “Even though Ranger was extra attentive during my ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ with Berkeley, it still came as a surprise to see how close he was to me during my ʟᴀʙᴏᴜʀ. He’s always been my little buddy and now he’s Berkeley’s. He follows her everywhere and keeps his eyes on her. He was such a calming presence for me, because he would just stop by ᴄʜᴇᴄᴋɪɴɢ in and ᴘᴜᴛ his wet ɴᴏsᴇ ᴀɢᴀɪɴsᴛ my face. I would instantly relax when he sat by me, and I even remember talking to him in between ᴄᴏɴᴛʀᴀᴄᴛɪᴏɴs. I thought he would hide under the bed the whole time, but his loyalty to all of us during this process really shined. The moment she was born, he jumped up on the ʙɪʀᴛʜ ᴘᴏᴏʟ and I introduced him to his little sister.”
The ʜᴇᴀʀᴛᴡᴀʀᴍɪɴɢ ᴘʜᴏᴛᴏ sᴇʀɪᴇs was captured by birth photographer Kristen Waner, 29, who had snapped the family before. She said :” You saw the connection and bond between Ranger and Brooke. He watched her through the whole process and only went to give her ᴋɪssᴇs when he knew the time was right. When Brooke’s beautiful baby girl, Berkeley, came into the world, Ranger jumped up and ran straight over to meet his little sister. He was loving and gentle with her. Brooke herself is also a ᴅᴏᴜʟᴀ and it was amazing for her to see the photos afterwards of sweet little Ranger in nearly every shot. These photos turned out even more amazing than I first thought because you are able to see the process of birth through the eyes of a dog. He is just too sweet.”
